Flowers, flowers, flowers

The Achacha are self-pollinating and thus do not depend on insects or animals to do this kind of work.  Regardless, from September to November the trees are awash in flowers which attract all sorts of creatures.  The bees have taken to the Achacha blossom with gusto and the honey flavour itself is quite particular – as you’ll find out if you have a chance to try it. Our raw unheated Achacha blossom honey now carries the 2014 ABC delicious magazine’s finalist logo. We were very excited when some people nominated us and even more so to become finalists.  The Achacha fruit also gained a finalist logo.

The honey is available from selected outlets in Townsville, Brisbane and Sydney and is carried by a number of grocers and natural health shops.  If interested, contact us at fruit [at] achacha.com.au
